When I was a child, the older generation now and them talked about “the war”, meaning World War 2″. The pictures they drew, the stories they told, what they had lived through, seemed exaggerated, too strange, too brutal to be true. Now I understand, they were real and true.
Now, I see that these things take place, even today, in Ukraine.
